Handout of the Week: Meatless Meals

I've been diving into extra research about the impact of meat consumption on health. Check out what I found -- along with a great collection of tips and tricks -- in the post Meatless Meals and Your Health

After all, while most experts recommend eating more fruits and vegetables, Dr. Jay Kenney, PhD, RD, FACN, doesn't advocate a strict vegetarian or vegan eating pattern. Meatless meals are beneficial, though, and he encourages people to eat them more often in order to increase the amounts of fruits and vegetables in their eating patterns while decreasing the amounts of animal foods, fat, and salt.
