Have you ever noticed how an Alzheimer's diagnosis is shared with others? Most commonly, it's not. And when it is, it's often whispered off in a corner and then asked not to share it with others. 

It's time for this to change.

Ending the Shame and Blame about Alzheimer's and Dementia 
In the World Alzheimer Report 2012, researchers found that approximately 1 in 4 persons hid their dementia diagnosis from others. It's a hush hush matter for many—almost like it's a dirty little secret that must be hidden away.

This shame and blame about dementia needs to end.
