In the U.S., Independence Day (Fourth of July) is coming up. Traditional celebrations include fireworks, parades, and, of course, food! Whether or not you live in the U.S., we can all celebrate "independence from carbs" with these recipe and menu ideas. Happy Independence Day!

Between the potato salad, the hamburger buns, and the strawberry shortcake, you might think July 4th needs to be a carb fest, but there are lots of great traditional choices that are low in carbs, and others that can easily be made so. Here are some ideas to have a wonderful celebration without sending your blood sugar through the roof.
