Chocolate and cranberries are both foods that can be low-carb if we don't add a bunch of sugar to them, and have relatively large amounts of nutrients for the carb expenditure.  Cranberries are starting to appear in the stores - if you stash a couple of bags in the freezer you can spark up meals and snacks later in the winter.
