Hi Usman!
One of the key messages from the new Dietary Guidelines for Americans is "everyone has a role in supporting healthy eating patterns."
This doesn't only have to be in governmental, organizational, or educational settings. We can always encourage healthful eating patterns whenever possible, even closer to home with family and friends.
For example, Cheryle Jones Syracuse, MS, Professor Emeritus at The Ohio State University has a brand-new post on the blog that features a simple and healthy summer appetizer, served in a creative way! Supporting Healthy Eating Patterns: Walking the Talk is drawn from her own experience hosting a gathering of friends on a nice summer night, and the post features a new step-by-step recipe handout.
I hope you like it!
