Watching the U.S. Olympic marathon trials on TV last weekend got me pumped for my training runs this week, despite the fact that it's been much colder in my area than it was in L.A., where the trials were held. While the vast majority of us will never run at elite runners' level or speeds, we can certainly learn a few things from their technique and toughness.
