In a typical training session, I spend a lot of time telling my clients what to do: "Shoulders back...abs in...relax your grip...really concentrate on the muscles you're working...slow it down...speed it up...stand up...sit down...," and on and on. They often marvel at just how many instructions I can give for one exercise and, more importantly, why they actually pay me for this bizarre service.
Hey, I'm just glad they do.
This week, I'm thinking of all the things they should stop doing if they want to exercise. And, no, it isn't 'stop listening to your trainer.'
Sorry.
