Should You Quit Dieting? Probably Since They Usually Don't Work

I've always been a terrible dieter.  This one time, in high school, I decided to go on the starvation diet.  I skipped breakfast and lunch and, by 3:00 in the afternoon, I was so ravenous, I thought I was going to pass out.  So I went to Arbys for a giant roast beef sandwich and large fries.  This other time, I tried Slim Fast.  I had one shake.  And then I ate my lunch anyway.

Some of us spend our lives dieting, but do they really work?  In the short-term, they always work. It's the long-term that doesn't always pan out.  I've got a bunch of reasons why you should consider ditching the diet and go for healthy eating instead.
