Nutrition News: Kids and Sports Drinks

Happy Monday Usman!

Have you been seeing all the news about kids, sports drinks, and obesity?

My team and I have noted the increase in consumption of sports drinks among children, and so we've made some educational resources about that topic!

First, the post Nutrition News: Kids and Sports Drinks features a closer look at sports drink consumption trends among children, along with what the health impact of those trends will be. There's also a handout about the added sugars in sports drinks, along with an exploration of recent studies on the topic.

Then the fun continues with the members-only post Sports Drink Comparison Chart, which delves into a comparison of the calories, nutrients, and sugars in several different popular sports drinks, along with healthier alternatives to those drinks. The chart is easy to download and print, and it makes a great educational resource.

So what do you think about kids and sports drinks?

Yours,
