This week - Much more often than previously realized,cryptogenic strokes (strokes of unknown cause) may be caused by "silent" atrial fibrillation. Also - TIA's 

Atrial Fibrillation Common In Cryptogenic Stroke
Cryptogenic stroke - stroke of unknown cause - may be due to silent atrial fibrillation much more often than previously known.

Transient Ischemic Attacks (TIAs)
A transient ischemic attack (TIA), also called a mini-stroke, is a temporary loss of normal neurological function, caused by a transient interruption of blood flow to the brain.
