After assessing 24 years of people's eating habits, Harvard researchers linked each extra daily serving of fruit with an average of half a pound of weight loss over four years. The fruits that showed the greatest fat fighting abilities? Blueberries, apples, prunes and pears. They yielded up to a 1.3 pound weight reduction per extra daily serving, and researchers are giving some credit to the high amount of flavonoids in those options.
