Last week, amid significant controversy, the government’s Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee voted to end its longstanding recommendation that we avoid foods that are high in cholesterol . Though a lot of us have been told cholesterol is a surefire way to skyrocket the risk of heart attacks, this news wasn’t that surprising to medical pros. Why the confusion?
