| | There has been a ton of confusion in recent years about saturated fats in our diets. For a long time we were assured that they were associated with heart disease and other bad health outcomes. But the research wasn't bearing that out - a lot of them time, people who ate a lot of saturated fat didn't seem to have worse outcomes. This latest research may have the answer - the problematic fats are in the blood, not the diet....because our bodies make them...from carbohydrate! The more carb and less fat they ate, the more bad fats their bodies made.
| A Low-Fat Diet is a High-Glucose Diet This goes along with the new research. A reader who was doing great on a low-carb paleo approach was confronted by an article in The Daily Beast advocating a very low-fat diet.
