I think we all feel a certain amount of pressure to, if not lose weight, to at least maintain some semblance of health and fitness. The problem is, it's way easier to lose or maintain your weight when you're, say, 20. When you're, say, well over 20 years old, it's just plain old hard to do anything with your body as it stubbornly holds on to every fat cell like it's getting paid to do it. You can't really change the fact that an older body just takes longer to get with the program, but you can take some of the pressure off so you can enjoy life a little more. |
