Study: One in Two Americans Have Diabetes or Are Likely To

In the 90s, about one in ten American adults had diabetes. Today, the rate is closer to one in seven, about 14 percent – and another 38 percent of Americans are prediabetic. This means their blood sugar is high enough that they’re at great risk, or “on the cusp” of being diagnosed with the disease.
