| In the days and weeks before Christmas, I often find myself answering these kinds of questions: "Does walking around a mall all day count as a workout?" Or "I had to park really far away from the door...I'd call that 'going for a walk' wouldn't you?" Unfortunately, the answer is no, unless you broke a sweat...and not the kind where you're only sweating because you're inside wearing a thick coat in a store that feels like an oven with about a thousand other similarly dressed people. Things get stressful this time of year and we forget that working out can actually help alleviate some of that stress...and I'm not just making that up to get you to exercise (although I would if I had to). If you're struggling, now is a good time to stop, regroup and take your exercise pulse. How are your workouts going? Do you need some motivation right about now? I know I do! |
