From Laura Dolson, your Guide to Low Carb Diets

First, my apologies, as due to the time change my newsletter slipped out this morning before I realized it.  What went out earlier was the generic, unedited version.  This is the real Monday newsletter.

November is American Diabetes Month, and it's a great opportunity to raise awareness, not only for people who have or are close to people with diabetes, but the huge number that are at risk.  The latest statistics are that almost 30 million people in the US have diabetes (but at least 7 million probably don't know it) and 86 million more have prediabetes.  That doesn't even count the people with "pre-prediabetes" - people who haven't crossed the line into prediabetes, but for whom the disease process has already begun.  The thing is that we absolutely know that a reduced-carbohydrate diet can help stabilize blood sugar and help people avoid the devastation that diabetes often causes.  So November is a great time to spread the word!  Let's do it!  Laura
