September is National Cholesterol Education Month

Heart disease has emerged as the #1 killer of people living in the United States - and it is quickly catching on in other parts of the world, too. One emerging - and preventable - risk factor for heart disease is high cholesterol. September 1st kicked off National Cholesterol Education Month, which is designed to raise awareness of high cholesterol, its relationship to heart disease, and what can be done to lower it.
