Falling sucks, but it's not the only reason to train your balance. Doing so can also reduce your risk of sprained ankles and may even increase the gray matter in your brain, helping to slow the onset of dementia. Some of the exercises in this article use a Bosu ball, but you may want to try them without one - feel free to alter the exercises for your fitness level.
