I just got back from my annual trek to find out the latest about what is going on in the world of treating obesity and metabolic syndrome, and in the low-carb world as well.  This year the Nutrition and Metabolism Symposium and Spring Obesity Conference of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians was in Philadelphia, and over the next couple of weeks I'll be writing about what I learned there.  It's always exciting and I'm happy to share it with you!  Have a great week - Laura

Barriers to Weight Loss

 Some people seem to lose weight so easily, while the rest of us look on with envy!  One physician at the Obesity Conference presented an enlighting talk about some of the reasons why this is the case.

A very common issue as time goes on is letting carbs creep back into our diets, little by little. This is a sure road to sabotaging our efforts to improve our health! Have you stopped tracking your daily carbs? Maybe it's time to check back in:

 Eating a healthy low-carb diet isn't always easy, especially at first. But you can definitely make it worse for yourself!  If you make sure you aren't doing these things, life will be easier.
