Tumor Boards May Protect You From Breast Cancer Misdiagnosis
Your oncologist doesn't know everything. Cancer is such a complex disease that it is subdivided into a dizzying array of specialists. When a whole roomful of cancer experts get together to discuss a case - as in a Tumor Board - the patient benefits from that combined knowledge. And it may prevent a misdiagnosis.

Keep Track of Your Own Health Records
I still have the 3-ring binders in which I files all my test results and bills and insurance claims. It came in very useful when I needed to switch oncologists and change treatment plans. Having your own health records in order can do you a lot of good!
