Can a Spinal Tap Help Predict Alzheimer's Disease? | Research has indicated that the brains of people with dementia often begin to change more than 10 years before symptoms show up. That means there are people walking around, unaware that they are already on the path to dementia. So-- what if we could test them for Alzheimer's, kind of like an early detection test for cancer, and then begin treatment to prevent and delay the disease of Alzheimer's from developing?
