| News: Dogs Trained to Sniff Out Cancer in Humans | Two German shepherds have been trained to detect prostate cancer with 90 percent accuracy, according to researchers in Italy.
The animals' unbelievable sense of smell can smell less than a drop of scent out of an entire Olympic-sized pool of water, and many severe illnesses actually have quite distinctive odors - in this case, volatile compounds found in the urine.
