If you struggle with your weight, you probably blame your metabolism. After all, if it would just go a little faster, burn a few more calories, you wouldn't have this weight problem, would you?
But your metabolism, left to its own devices, is kind of like my cat, Ziggy. It gets lazier and lazier until it's just a big ol' lump of fur lying in the middle of the floor, obviously close to death because the food bowl is so far away.
You have to make your metabolism work by giving it a reason to speed up and we've figured out that exercise - cardio and strength training, for example, is a great way to speed up your metabolism.
Scientists, unfortunately, have not figured out a way to make Ziggy speed up. Or get up for that matter...
