From Paige Waehner, your Guide to Exercise

When I mentioned how much exercise can reduce stress to a frazzled client, she informed me that, in point of fact, "Having to exercise stresses me out!"  She then listed all the things she really needed to be doing instead of working out and how she just did not have time.  And that made me remember something I overheard a trainer say to one of his clients once: "Would you rather spend an hour exercising with me or an hour in your doctor's office waiting to be told you need to lose weight?"

Trainers may be even better at guilt trips than your mom.

Just sayin.

Exercise for Stress Relief
There are lots of ways to reduce stress, but the least destructive, and the most helpful, is probably exercise.  It may seem like just one more thing you have to do, but this one thing can help you do all the other things on your never ending to do list.

How much weight should I lift?
Choosing how much weight you should lift during strength training is probably one of the most confusing parts of lifting weights.  How do you choose?  The short answer:  Make an educated guess and proceed accordingly.

Getting Started With Kettlebell Training
Kettlebell training is one of my favorite ways to exercise for a couple of reasons:  First, it's different than anything else we typically do when we exercise.  Second, it's a fun ('fun' being a relative term) way to build strength and endurance.  Oh and I just thought of another one - You get to swing weights around, usually a no-no when lifting weights.

Weight Training 101
We have to lift weights.  Well, it isn't in the constitution or anything but, if you want to maintain your weight, lose weight and/or stay strong, you really do have to lift weights.  This article explains exactly how to get started.
