From Fiona Haynes, your Guide to Low Fat Cooking
Treat the dad in your life to dinner. I don't mean an expensive calorie-laden restaurant meal. I mean something you've made yourself. It could be his very favorite home-cooked meal or something entirely new. If dad is watching his fat and calorie intake, I have some great suggestions.

Low Fat Turkey Burgers
Turkey burgers are usually a good lower-fat option for burgers and turkey meat certainly has a pleasingly strong flavor in case you worry that white-meat burgers would be bland.

Can You Spot High-Fat Foods on the Menu?
Eating low fat at home is one thing, but trying to limit fat while you're eating out is altogether trickier, especially when restaurant salads can be higher in fat than a small burger and fries. Apart from asking for sauces and gravies to be on the side, and avoiding obviously high-fat foods such as French fries, there are some buzz words to watch for that will help you avoid high-fat foods at some of your favorite restaurants.
